
Jennifer Bell
Principal
A mediator by training, Jennifer
Bell began her legal career at the Salvation Army where she maintained
a program for victims of family violence. In this capacity, she
worked closely with the Ministry of the Attorney General, Peel Regional
Police, Peel Committee Against Woman Abuse and the Woman Abuse Council
of Toronto.
Following her tenure at the Salvation
Army, Jennifer was a founding member of Klein Law, a family law
firm in Peel dedicated to providing service to victims of family
violence. She also spent several years as a member of Legal Aid
Ontario’s appeal committee.
Jennifer is a graduate of York University’s
Advanced Dispute Resolution program and holds an Honours Bachelor
of Arts in Political Science from the University of Toronto. She
is a member of the ADR Institute of Ontario, where she was a former co-chair
of the Construction Section. She has also delivered lectures on ADR at the Humber
College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning and Ryerson University. Currently, Jennifer complements her mediation career with a commitment to George Brown College as an Adjunct Professor of Law.
At Placet Dispute Resolution, Jennifer
specializes in condominium, employment, hospitality and general litigation matters.
In her spare time, Jennifer is an avid traveler and volunteers as a Birthing Coach at St. Joseph's Health Centre in Toronto.
